the constant high frequency noise
is always with me
possibly a faint signal
from a distant part of the galaxy
probably from my brain
when my bones ache
well, they have supported me
for over seventy-five years
now it is the cancer creeping along
my right big toenail fell off the other day
the left one is questionable
my hair will soon go again
i am told i have a nice head
another day
another step forward
