from the reptile brain
reason is a recent software upgrade
“all is change,” reason declares
“no, that can’t be true,” desire insists
working to turn reason upon itself
by mystery, longing, fear
but, in the end desire’s aim is never met
change comes and we go with it
reason must be strong
reason must win over desire
for why else are we human?
